Church of Saint-Pierre-Apôtre,
a church at the heart of a neighbourhood, in the hearts of the people
Despite the passage of time and numerous historic and social upheavals, the church of Saint-Pierre-Apôtre has remained a gathering place. It is an open space, where unconditional hospitality reigns, and whose reputation transcends the physical boundaries of the parish.
Over the course of your visit, we invite you to discover the first architectural work, and one of the greatest masterpieces, of Victor Bourgeau. You will cross paths with people who marked the history of both the parish and the city, including Mgr. Ignace Bourget, Mgr. Eugène de Mazenod, Pierre Beaudry, Sir George-Étienne Cartier, and the Sulpicians.
This visit includes 20 audio stops. Please click on the button in the right hand corner at the top of this page to download the file containing the podcast. You can then transfer the file to your portable MP3 player.
We also invite you to download and print the accompanying flyer. It contains directions to the site, the list of audio stop, and diagrams of the parish property and interior of the church.
We invite you to discover the church of Saint-Pierre-Apôtre, from yesterday to today, at the heart of a neighbourhood, in the hearts of the people.
